Durham Wins One. Morrow Goes 5 Innings In Second Start.

The Bulls edged the Yanks tonight by a score of 3-2 to stay alive for the International League Championship.  Nathan Haynes, another member of the early season right field platoon in Tampa Bay, delivered a walk off double to send the series to Game Four.  Nieman was very good thorugh 6.2 innings giving up a run on 5 hits and 2 walks with 8 Ks.  PTown's Jonny Gomes was 0-3 against leftie Kei Igawa and drew a walk against a right handed reliever. He has a .222 avg. in the post season.

Brandon Morrow got his second start on 5 days rest tonight.  He went 2 2/3 before giving up a hit.  Morrow pitched 5 complete innings throwing 90 pitches, 51 for strikes.  He gave up 5 hits, 2 earned runs, walked 4 and K'd 4.  I'm sure he's happy to have that second game out of the way.

Final note.  PTownFan will have the Texas Coast in her prayers during the next few days. I hope everyone beat tracks out of Galveston. Ike sounds like one nasty dude.

Give PTownFan a shout. It will make her day to know there is someone out there ;-) Don't worry. She doesn't always talk about herself in the third person like The Rickey.
