Wichita is 4-6 in their last team with a 2 game losing streak.

JONNY GOMES (DH, Tampa Bay Rays):
7-12: Did not play in the Rays 6th consecutive loss. .185 Avg .
The Rays are 4-6 in their last 10 with a 6 game losing streak.

Starting Pitcher, Matt Garza, was lit up early for 7 runs and it looked like the Rays would go quietly for the 3rd day in a row. Then , in the 8th, Cliff Floyd broke the Rays 0-16 streak with runners in scoring position with a single up the middle to score two. Navarro knocked in two more in the 8th, but the team couldn't come up with more runs in the 9th. Let's hope they can notch a win against the Indians today and maintain their narrow half game lead in the AL East going into the All Star break.

BRANDON MORROW (P, Seattle Mariners):
7-12: Brandon blew his second save in 3 days last night. He retired two on 7 pitches, then walked pinch hitter Billy Butler, bringing De Jesus, the previous night's hero to the plate. Morrow focused on a first pitch strike after the walk and De Jesus launched a walk off home run over the right field fence. His ERA now stands at 1.80. Seattle is 3-7 in their last 10 games with a 3 game losing streak.

Petaluma Valley and Petaluma National still have one team in post season play. PTownFan wishes them all the best of luck! A tip of the cap to all players, coaches, managers, and fans of the teams that are now focused on next season and sleeping in this morning for the first time in weeks :-)

10/11 Year Olds - District 35 Final:
PNLL , winners of the South Area, play a must win game today at 11am in Ukiah. The winner of the District tourney represents D35 in the Section I Tourney in Albany.

11/12 Year Olds (Major/Little Leauge All Stars) - District 35 Final:
South Area Champs, PVLL, continue on the Road To Williamsport for the Little League World Series with a 12-2 win last night over Ukiah. They will meet the Losers' Bracket winner Monday at 6pm for the District Championship. Next stop, should they win, will be the Section I Tourney in Woodland.

Junior All Stars - District 35 Final:
Healdsburg won a clost battle for the District Flag yesterday. PALL had a comfortable lead early, but Healdsburg kept chipping away and never gave up. A two run home run in the 6th gave them the one run margin they needed as PALL couldn't push one across in the top of the 7th. The team has size, power, and incredible pitching depth. We wish them well as they represent the 707 on the Road to the Junior Division World Series in Taylor, Michigan. Next stop: Section I Tourney hosted by Mill Valley beginning today.

Give PTownFan a shout. It will make her day to know there is someone out there ;-) Don't worry. She doesn't always talk about herself in the third person like The Rickey.
