7/12 CUP O' JO

JOEY GOMES (OF, Joliet Jackhammers, Northern League IND):
7/11: Joey had the big night he's needed. He was 3 for 6 with an RBI single, a run scored as Joliet beat the Goldeyes 15-12 in Winnipeg and improved their record to one game over .500. .253 Avg.

CHAD FILLINGER - P, Joliet Jackhammers, Northern League - IND:

LOUIS OTT (DH/INF Detroit Tigers Organization - Erie Seawolves, AA):

7-11: Did not play in Erie's 15-18 loss to Altoona, but Lou's name finally appeared in the League Transactions Log so hopefully we will see him soon. .260 avg.

TOMMY EVERIDGE (1B, Oakland A's Organization - Midland Rockhounds, AA):
7-11: 0 for 4 but reached base on error twice, converting those opportunities into runs as Midland topped San Antonio 8-3. .257 Avg Recap

KONRAD SCHMIDT (C, Arizona Diamondbacks Organization - SouthBend Silver Hawks, A):

7-11: Impressive in his debut at Catcher with the Oaks going 2 fo 3 with a 2 out RBI double, scoring the Oaks only run in a 1-7 loss to San Jose. Konrad also gunned down a runner at 2B showing the Oaks some good D. .667 Avg

JONNY GOMES (DH, Tampa Bay Rays):
7-11: 0 for 3 in the Rays 5th consecutive loss. .185 Avg The Rays managed 8 hits, but couldn't push anyone across as the Indians notched their second win after a 10 game losing streak.

BRANDON MORROW (P, Seattle Mariners):
7-10: Ugh. It had to happen. After not giving up a run since May 27th, Brandon experienced his first blown save last night in an extra innings loss to Oakland. He inherited a two run lead, but gave up solo home runs to Cust and Suzuki to send the game into extra innings. His ERA now stands at 1.23.

Give PTownFan a shout. It will make her day to know there is someone out there ;-) Don't worry. She doesn't always talk about herself in the third person like The Rickey.
