The unofficial official Tampa Bay Rays ALDS roster is starting to take shape. Marc Topkin of the St. Pete Times is reporting that Joe Maddon has proclaimed Carl Crawford ready to go for Thursday in LF following Instructional League game appearances yesterday and today. 0-4 yesterday and 2-3 with a triple today. He will not bat in his usual #2 spot, however.
Also, the Rays will go with a 4 man rotation for the first series with Shields getting the start Thursday, Kazmir Friday, Garza in game 3 and Sonnanstine in game 4. Edwin Jackson said he's not on the playoff roster. Tough call, but he's just not a reliever.
