Thanksgiving Cup O' Jo

Happy Thanksgiving!  Here's to gatherings of thankful family and friends, tasty turkey and all the trimmings, and a good nap!  This PTown family got a headstart on the whole celebration, enjoying our traditional turkey dinner last night and looking forward to a low key gathering at Grandpa and Grandma's house this afternoon where both are under doctor's orders to sit back and relax. Recent events have proven that neither elder can be trusted to follow those orders so we're having a no fuss, no muss lasagne feast instead.  The tale of their last 6 months may well play out on a Hollywood screen someday.  It's a chain of events that you really can't make up. But hey, this is a baseball blog so let's get down to it...
TOMMY EVERIDGE - Los Gigantes de Carolina, Puerto Rico (1B, Oakland A's Organization - Midland Rockhounds, AA) Did not play as Carolina dropped yet another one. Puerto Rico has Thanksgiving off.
JASON LANE - Tiburones de La Guaira, Venezuela (OF, 2008 Red Sox Organization - Pawtuckett, AAA):   In a night laden with double digit ERAs for both teams, Jason had a great game despite the team's 22-20 loss to Lara.  He was 2-for-4 with a double and a home run, four RBIs, three runs scored and two walks raising his average to .194.  La Guaira is now in a tie with Aragua for third place and face second place Lara again tonight. If their are any pitchers left.

Enjoy your holiday!  I'm off to bake a pumpkin pie.

Give PTownFan a shout. It will make her day to know there is someone out there ;-) Don't worry. She doesn't always talk about herself in the third person like The Rickey.
